Your guide to prayer times in Montpellier

Find today’s schedule, understand local time, and choose settings that match your community in Montpellier.

A timetable for the city you are in

The Montpellier prayer-times page shows Fajr, sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for approximate Montpellier city-centre coordinates. Sunrise is included as a useful reference and is distinguished from the five daily prayers.

The next-prayer display updates while the page is open. The date controls let you look ahead or return to today, and the monthly view gives you a broader picture of how the schedule changes.

Use the Europe/Paris timezone

Montpellier uses the Europe/Paris timezone. Athan for All formats the schedule in that timezone, including its seasonal clock changes. If you are browsing from another country, the Montpellier page continues to show Montpellier local time.

This matters when checking a future date near a clock change. A one-hour shift in the displayed timetable can reflect the civil clock rather than a sudden change in the position of the sun. Always check the date and timezone printed with the times.

Match your local timetable

The website initially suggests Muslim World League for locations in France. This is an app default, not an official Montpellier mosque timetable. Open Calculation settings to select another supported method or change the Asr convention.

If your mosque publishes different dawn or night times, check its convention before relying on the default. The website displays calculated prayer start times; the time a congregation begins can be different. Ask the mosque directly for its iqamah schedule.

For a more precise location

If you are in or around Montpellier, choose Use my location on the homepage. Your browser will ask for permission unless you have already allowed it. Coordinates are used by the page to calculate your schedule and timezone. You can also search for a neighbouring town without granting location permission.

Selecting a city remains useful when planning a trip. Choose the destination, select your travel date, and read the timetable in the destination’s local timezone. Check the location again after travelling rather than assuming a previously selected city has changed automatically.

Keep a monthly copy

Open the monthly timetable and select CSV to download the calculated schedule. The file identifies the selected place, timezone, calculation method and Asr setting so you can keep track of what produced it.

Downloaded schedules do not update after you change settings. Generate a new file when you change the location or calculation convention, and compare with a local timetable before using a printed copy for an extended period.
